NeuroVintage is a contemporary art practice and visual language created by collage artist Elena Folomeeva. Rooted in archival imagery, symbolism, and psychological narrative, NeuroVintage explores the intersection of memory, myth, and transformation. Rather than reproducing the past as nostalgia, the practice treats historical images as living fragments — material for reimagining identity, time, and meaning within a contemporary context. Working primarily with symbolic collage, NeuroVintage combines vintage visual sources, digital processes, and intuitive composition to construct layered visual narratives. Each work functions as a fragment of a larger mythological system, where masks, gardens, archetypes, and theatrical figures recur as symbols of inner and cultural transformation. NeuroVintage operates as both an artistic method and a conceptual framework. It is not a decorative style, but a way of thinking through images — a dialogue between heritage and the present, the seen and the concealed, the remembered and the reassembled. The practice is guided by the belief that images carry memory, and that collage allows these memories to be reactivated, recontextualized, and given new symbolic life. Meaning is not fixed; it unfolds through association, layering, and personal interpretation. NeuroVintage serves as the conceptual foundation for multiple artistic projects, including limited-edition artworks and collectible art objects. These works are later translated into physical form through Atelier MHB — the artist’s atelier dedicated to transforming visual narratives into tangible, collectible pieces. In parallel with her studio practice, selected NeuroVintage works are translated into physical, limited-edition art objects through Atelier MHB — the artist’s atelier dedicated to the production and curation of collectible pieces.
